Paul Waugh - Chairman

Paul is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with more than 20 years experience in business development across numerous different businesses and sectors. He is passionate about global small business growth and success for the benefit of all the people involved in this sector. Paul's business leadership philosophy of starting with the development of the whole person or entrepreneur before moving on to the development of their business has earned him respect and trust in business, both in the UK and abroad.

I am one of the Co-Founders of the Eclub and a Director of FranklinWaugh. Originally from South Africa, I relocated to the UK in 1997 and have made England my home. Being part of the Eclub means an incredible amount to me, it is the ultimate vehicle for my personal and professional growth, development and overall success. This is the environment to meet the right people, people who want to make a difference and want to build the right relationships. Being involved in the development of the Eclub is a privilege, it means that I am right at the core and I have amazing opportunities to learn, grow and develop as a person and a highly effective entrepreneur.

6 years ago I was in a career and I was getting increasingly despondent about the lack of progress I was making in all areas of my life. At that point I never imagined that I would be able to start my own business, never mind building a global community of entrepreneurial leaders.  The changes I have made in my life and my ongoing journey are testament to the seed of incredible potential that lies within each of us. Being mentored by Paul has opened my body, heart, mind and spirit to a world of possibility that is the stuff of dreams. I am so incredibly appreciative to have this opportunity and to be able to offer others the opportunity to create their lives. It is a real honour to be one of the founders of the Club. I share my life with a very special group of people in the Club who are committed to working together to create magnificent lives, businesses and careers as well as supporting those areas of humanity that need it most.

It is a great privilege to be a founder of the Entrepreneurial Club. I have invested an immense amount into the Club time, money, and effort wise, not to mention blood, sweat and tears as well! I would do it all over again as it has given me so much in lessons, opportunities and life-long friends. The greatest opportunity the Club offers me is an environment in which to apply what I'm learning and make mistakes. What I enjoy most are the people involved.

However none of the above would have been possible without the help of my mentor and chairman Paul Waugh. Having a transformational and transactional mentor has been one of the greatest life enthusing factors in my life. To be frank it is the difference of living a life of mediocrity at best compared to living a life filled with love, laughter, and affluence. He has helped me see that everything is a choice and how you respond determines the outcome and ultimately my happiness.

Although I graduated happily from university with two different degrees ( African Studies, and Travel and Tourism Management) I still felt unsure of what I wanted to do, and what I really wanted to achieve in my lifetime. Meeting Chris then Paul quickly changed that!

Being one of the Eclub founders allows me to continuously work on what I quickly realised were my two major passions: growing and developing myself, and assisting in the growth and development of others. The growing, diverse membership we have and the continual dynamism and energy inherent in the Club's activities mean that I am constantly presented with opportunities to learn something new, develop my skills, uncover my weaknesses and strengthen them, as well help others make realisations and support them through those.
In short, the Club is a significant vehicle for progress in my life, and an environment I am extremely grateful and privileged to be a part of. Before being part of the Club I was very much operating by myself, now, I see much more interdependently and am extremely fortunate to have this community of friends around me. It is an honour to be mentored by its founder, Paul Waugh, and to be able in turn to pass his hard-earned wisdom on.
I now see my life and the possibilities in an incomparably different way to how I used to, and I wake up excited every morning to learn and do more. I am delighted to be part of The Entrepreneurial Club Foundation, as working with children and young adults has always been an a
rea in which I would like to make a contribution.

Clint Vallis

Born and raised in South Africa, I now live in London and am incredibly fortunate to be working with the most dedicated, passionate, caring and human visionaries I have ever known.

My journey into entrepreneurship was initially incredibly painful and challenging, having started two businesses without the knowledge, resources and relationships I needed in place! I joined Eclub as a founding member and my journey transformed rapidly into an immensely rewarding, empowering, up-building, successful, progressive and growth-filled one! I am incredibly fortunate to be intensely mentored by Paul Waugh, who has helped me grow up, understand myself, understand others and understand life in a way I never knew was possible. Through Paul’s mentorship and being part of Eclub, I have significantly developed my skills and ability to lead an empowered, high-quality life of meaning and purpose. I have since also become deeply involved in the founding of The Entrepreneurial Club Foundation, in order to help teach disadvantaged young children what I myself have learnt of leadership and entrepreneurship. Bottom line - I want to be a catalyst to positive, sustainable and empowering global change!

I have been a part of the FranklinWaugh and Eclub family since 2008 and have been mentored intensively by Paul since 2007. Paul's guidance and support has been an immense catalyse to progressing in my life. Originally from an aerospace and aviation background I lost my way and forgot what really inspired me. I loved learning and challenging myself and importantly, I loved playing a part in someone else's growth. Having pursued a traditional route through university the prospect of stepping into a graduate job did not inspire me. I needed an environment that was expansive enough to accommodate my vast aspirations, rich enough to offer me the learning and challenges I sought after in my adventure sports and nourishing enough to nurture my human spirit and that of others. Through a series of 'coincidences' I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Paul. Since then I have been at the centre of building 3 businesses, have played a vital role in supporting hundreds of other businesses survive the recession and now am dedicated to mentoring a core team of start-ups and a growing community of emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
My aspirations are to create a global community of genuine, legitimate leaders to provide real solutions to some of humanities greatest challenges and enter into the space tourism and commercialisation sector.

Born and bred in London, I grew up with that sense of anything being possible. However, once I started to move into the world of work and business I saw that this was much harder than it seemed. After a few average business attempts, I was fortunate enough to meet Shaun and Chris at my first networking event. At the time I was doing ok, but had the sense of my life not going anywhere and being quite meaningless. I was beginning to settle for mediocrity and my dreams were shrinking. Being part of the Eclub has changed all that! Having a successful happy person such has Paul to mentor me has completely transformed my life. Paul has helped me to believe in my dreams again and see a way to achieve them. Being part of the Eclub has given me the privilege to support and be supported by a community of genuine people, who are all determined to reach their dreams, some of which I am blessed to call my friends. It has been an amazing journey full of ups and downs and I have learned an enormous amount about myself. This community is genuinely unique and I value it immensely.

Two years ago I graduated from university, hoping to get a job on the lower rungs of the film industry. Back then, business was the furthest thing from my mind - I considered myself one of those "creative types", but a conversation over a Nandos with my brother on the day of my graduation changed all of that. Making a film and starting a business have the same core; they need a community of people who care about each other to work for the greater good. That is what I'm able to do at the Club. Through supporting others, not only am I helping them build their lives and businesses, but I am growing at a massive rate myself, which is an amazing feeling. With Paul's mentorship, I have really got to know my own fears, limitations and self-doubts, while realising my strengths and capabilities. As a student, I was very prepared to live a life of struggle and mundane challenges. Now, for the first time, I feel like I am now the master of my future, and I am just so grateful I get to help others feel the same way.
